A Climate of Faith

What is the element of life that is most exciting? Anticipation. It is satisfying to enjoy this moment – but it is exciting to create in the future the reality from the thought that is created this day.

Meditation Thought: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

“You have been given a ‘measure of faith’. Do you know its purpose? It is for using to grow more faith. It is for planting, for nourishing, for expecting a bountiful harvest of faith forthcoming.

Faith does not grow when it is ignored. Faith grows by someone tending it, recognizing that it exists and seeking to make it grow.

What is the element of life that is most exciting? Anticipation. It is satisfying to enjoy this moment – but it is exciting to create in the future the reality from the thought that is created this day.

You are able to exist in two planes at the same time, enjoying both and creating in both because you are both spirit and body. Your most effective powerful creations are the result of integrating the two areas into a two-dimensional expression on your part (height and width) and the addition of depth by the infusion of My Truth.

If you will work to define the pattern on the surface, I shall add the substance behind it to create a work beautiful from every viewpoint. Use the principles of good form taught to you in the Word, demonstrated by Jesus, whispered to you by the Spirit as well as confirmed by circumstances.

Think in terms of your work appearing as a figure in a painting, but with my divine power recreating it in sculpture which is a more complete expression that can be appreciated from any angle. Your work remains an expression of yourself, as only you can create, but it is made more beautiful by My expression added to it.

Your faith is the knowledge that the tiny seed of creative thought in your mind will grow even more beautiful and effective as you work to bring it into fruition. If you want to live the life of a creative artist, you must be saturated in faith. Nurture it, grow it, so you can thrive in the climate of faith.

Expand your faith that the work that you seek to product is unique – and useful and desirable – and that together we shall make it become complete and ‘real’; visible to many, and helpful to all who observe it.”

How to Choose When Choosing is Difficult

The knowledge that great abilities lie within you is a force that can release these to benefit many, including yourself. Go on a ‘treasure hunt’ seeking to find all of these traits and to use them for great good.

Meditation Thought: “…return to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you…” (Deuteronomy 30:2,3)

“Like begets like” and if you are seeking to be like God as you express your character and your personality, you will draw God closer to you. He is your Father, but you can choose to be close to Him, to listen to Him and to obey Him, or you can go away, ignore Him and defy Him.

You know which way it best for you. You know it is the best way for all. You can choose for yourself; you cannot choose for all. But, in choosing for yourself, you affect others’ decisions – perhaps more than you know.

When choices are difficult – call upon the Power within you – the genetic inheritance of God the Father living within the spirit of His child. If you know you come from ‘good stock’ it gives you confidence in your genetic inheritance. What better ‘stock’ is possible than Creator of the universe?

When you seek to live in ways that reflect the glorious inheritance you ‘upgrade’ your own life and all who know you. Some may perceive that it is your inheritance that sparks your desirable qualities – and seek to know of their own inheritance, thus learning of their relationship to you as well as of their Father. Others may be unable to understand fully the motivations of your thoughts, your words, your deeds. But, nevertheless, they are affected by them. You are continuously tilling fields of others’ lives, either enabling them to produce good crops, or inhibiting their production, depending upon your expertise, your energy, and your attention.

Your expertise is developed in the Word, your energy is engendered by the Spirit, and your attention is prompted by Christ’s example and the results He deomonstrated.

Seek to express yourself as representative of your inheritance from the Father, not with pride in yourself, but with pride in Him, pride in being connected with Him. All can have this pride if they will.

This Moment & This One

For this reason you must reach out, you must seek, you must venture forth – not indiscriminately, but with proper preparation.

Meditation Thought: “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” (Matthew 25:29) & “ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” (Matthew 25:13)

“This moment – be aware. This moment – be alert. This moment – do My will. This moment – rejoice in life. This moment – serve in joy. This moment – give Me glory. This moment – be free.

Nothing binds you – save love. The binding of love is not constriction, but the warm protection that keeps all cold harsh elements away from you. All that penetrates through this protection is for bringing joy to you, comfort to you, peace to you. Believe this, know this, and you will experience the reality of this.

It is the knowledge that My love protects you – and your love disarms all harm – that enables you to use your talents anywhere at any time freely, generously, uninhibitedly. As they move rapidly about, over a wide area, they attract as magnets other talents to work with them – all to My glory and all to your joy.

For this reason you must reach out, you must seek, you must venture forth – not indiscriminately, but with proper preparation in prayer, in knowledge of the Word, in the heeding of the soft voice of the Spirit.”

A Pattern Uniquely for YOU

Let your Father show you how to weave a glorious pattern to give delight, to enhance the place he prepares for you in His Kingdom in heaven.

Meditation Thought: “Now I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance” (2 Corinthians 7:9)

  • Death : Resurrection
  • Despair : Hope
  • Dormant : Live
  • Passive : Active
  • Proud : Humble
  • In-Self : In-God
  • In Weakness : In Power
  • Ineffective : Dynamic
  • Hate : Love
  • Sinful : Righteous

We choose with each breath we take. The pattern you follow will repeat: if you take care in making the pattern even and straight and whole, it will repeat itself with these desirable characteristics – but if you make it uneven by relying on your emotions, crooked by relying on your will, incomplete by the gnawing at it by sin – then the whole ‘run’ of your life will be suitable not for the grand living room in your Father’s house, but to be hidden away in a far, dark corner room.

Let your Father show you how to weave a glorious pattern to give delight, to enhance the place he prepares for you in His Kingdom in heaven. You must remember that you can see only the limited dwelling places of the world and patterns you would make for those alone would look out of place in the mansion in heaven. You need to trust your father as to the design that will be needed for eternity even though it may look out of place in the earthly realm.

Self Help Turned on its Head

You are God’s paternal dream fulfilled!

Meditation Thought: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

In Christ you are a new creation:

  • Righteous, for your sin is forgiven and forgotten
  • Bold, for fear is replaced with confidence in your Helper who is with you forever
  • Content, for your longing for peace and fulfillment is satisfied
  • Excited, for you know that in Christ the works of the Father are constantly being done, and done with enthusiasm, good results, and often in surprising way.

You are experiencing love and giving love, you are more alert, your talents released, your joy boundless, your eyes perceiving beauty everywhere, your mind connecting all that comes into it into a pattern never before even suspected: that which is unseen becomes as that which is seen, and that which is seen becomes as that which is x-rayed and magnified and intensified. Christ is as all of the most potent effective medicines and vitamins and beauty aids and creative thinking courses and pleasures washing over you, pouring into you, transforming the dead entity of your self now willed to Him into the Fathers image: His precious offspring, spirit of His spirit – His paternal dream fulfilled.

Farming Even For Non-farmers

Believe that I do not ask you to work in vain, but to work to produce a bountiful harvest, for you, for your family, for your fellow creatures.

Meditation Thought: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

A guaranteed harvest! What farmer would not eagerly plant, till, gather – despite difficulties and setbacks – knowing that all of his or her effort positively would be rewarded if they do not give in and give up to the difficulties? This is what our Father would have us realize; He sent His Son to us with His Message:
“Your harvest is guaranteed: your faith is not misplaced – believe that I do not ask you to work in vain, but to work to produce a bountiful harvest, for you, for your family, for your fellow creatures. My guarantee is your motive and incentive to persevere when the storms and preying insects and droughts come into your life. Turn to Me for your method of coping with the crisis; I will lead you through it, bringing new knowledge and wisdom in overcoming that will increase the harvest beyond even your fondest dreams. I give you the seed, I nourish it – do your part to make it thrive despite all that would destroy it. Study My ways which I wish you to know – but which I will not force upon you – you will learn a superior method of farming, to your joy, and to the amazement of the world. Let Me teach you to set up a ‘model farm’ that the world may be brought from wilderness and chaos and little harvesting into productive lands, feeding My people who will praise My name.”

Sand Art of Time

I desire to love you and care for you – allow Me this pleasure.

Meditation Thought: “whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

“Picture yourself choosing various objects laid out before you to drop into a transparent cylinder of time: the overall pattern is determined by the objects you choose. If you listen to Me, I will enable you to choose objects which will produce a pattern of glowing loveliness and beauty, a column of time giving pleasure to the world and to the Kingdom.

If you choose to ignore My wisdom and knowledge of the whole in selecting the objects, the column of time will be clouded and dark and jumbled, making no pattern of loveliness. Do not become so preoccupied with the necessity of selecting that you forget to consult Me. Walk in the Way, the Word, the Spirit to discover My selections for your ideal pattern. Trust Me – knowing that as the infant, you cannot function properly without the care of your Father. I desire to love you and care for you – allow Me this pleasure.”

Remodel Without a HELOC

We must pry open the door of our free will to allow Him to enter.

Meditation Thought: “for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” (1 Corinthians 8:6)

Just as we are born of our parents and receive all things from them, so we are born of God and of Jesus and receive all things through them. We exist for them to love – and so that we might love them. Love is the key to life: without love there may be existence but not fullness.

But how do we know love? We know love by allowing God into our heart: He seeks, by His love and grace to enter us, and we must pry open the door of our free will to allow Him to enter. What glorious change in our heart when His loving Presence moves into it, bringing light and warmth, wisdom and understanding, knowledge and forgiveness. What a transformation remodeling and redecorating takes place! We are so changed that nothing appears as before, but is enhanced, enriched and increased in value according to the Kingdom’s value system – beyond recognition as the old self-will and worldly sin heart.

The Road to Friendship

Our loving Father is determined that we should remain in His chosen path for us so that we can be exposed to all of the wonderful things He has placed there for us.

Meditation Thought: “The Lord is a friend to those who fear him.” (Psalm 25:14)

I will respect the Lord and do His will, for His will is for my good. I will heed the Lord that my mind may be at peace and my heart full of joy. Blessed be the Lord! He is merciful and full of grace.

To fear the Lord, we must know of His power. To know of His power is to fear Him – but also to realize that the power is intended to be for our good. Only when we cross the will of God do we move from the positive side of His power into the negative side. When we are in the negative side, He is bathing us in the harsh chemicals of circumstance so that we might be changed and moved back to the positive side; in the positive state of being in God’s will, we are seen in focus, we are clearly outlined – no confusion or fuzziness clouds our image.

We need to fear God so that we can put forth the effort needed to submit our self-will and ego to His will and Christ’s ego or Presence within us. We need the incentive of knowing that God is more powerful than we, that He cares enough about us to guide us “on the straight and narrow” even if it sometimes hurts! Sometimes we are so aware of the confinement of the narrow way that we forget to look at the opening in front of us – the vision of all that is truly dear to us being right within that narrow way. While at times we may envy the broad road of the world where we could wander without bumping into the confines of righteousness – our loving Father is determined that we should remain in His chosen path for us so that we can be exposed to all of the wonderful things He has placed there for us – if we wander off to the broad roads of the world, we move along in time, wasting our movements and our thoughts on mundane, even evil and harmful things not planned for us by God.

Walking Paths

We walk in the peace of forgiveness, and the hope of the future for we know that future is secure.

Meditation Thought: “for we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

We walk by the inner light and not the outer darkness.
We walk in the joy of the Lord and not the confusion of the world.
We walk in the righteousness of the way and not the the selfishness of the heart.
We walk in love, not in envy.
We walk in service, and not in demanding to be served.
We walk beside the still waters, while the storm rages only a short distance away.
We walk in the peace of forgiveness, and the hope of the future for we know that future is secure, fashioned as a place of refuge and heart’s desires by our loving Father, if we will walk by faith in Him and not by faith in ourselves.
