An Immunizing Agent

…the very sort of the life that every human searches for, longs for, is even desperate for.

Meditation Thought: “For the word of God is quick, and powerful …and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

Similar to Ephesians 6:17 “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God”. A sword, when wielded expertly and by a person quickly discerning where to thrust it, causes an immediate change in the place it enters. So the Word of God can cause an immediate, complete change wherever it is thrust. Evil is immobilized and God’s spirit for good is free to move in the situation. We must learn to enable God to thrust this sword into any evil in our lives by becoming immersed in His Word, keeping the sword available at all times. And the Word in us serves as an immunizing agent against evil thoughts and evil intentions getting a hold in us. We must be diligent in keeping a large dose of our immunizing agent in ourselves at all times, lest the disease of evil get a foothold in our minds and hearts and bodies.

The Word of God is able to penetrate into our subconscious whereas we can only deal with the conscious. We swallow the Word of God, trusting it to do its work, but not really understanding how it penetrates and works in us. We don’t understand the ‘how’ – but we can see the results of ingesting it as our lives are changed completely by it – healthier in every area (body, mind, spirit) – and happier, more alive and enthused and excited: the very sort of the life that every human searches for, longs for, is even desperate for.

Stride Confidently

Quit cleaning out the unwanted filth with your old human-struggle broom and start using the power vacuum of My guidance and My strength.

Meditation Thought: “From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.” (Psalm 113:3)

“Praise, joy, bubbling excitement crowd out gloom and despair which Satan would put in your life. You have all the equipment you need to command a fulfilling, happy life – use it.

You can stride confidently, not slink along downheartedly, for whatever you need is at your side no matter what situation you are led into. When you come to an obstacle, look at it and then choose the equipment you need to overcome it. If you are abiding in Me and I in you, the choice will be appropriate and effective in overcoming, and in leaving all kinds of good in your path. Become competent in using your equipment and take good care of it. You become competent by the practice with it and it stays shiny by continuous use.

Picture yourself striding along with a purpose (Our purpose) before you, but stopping to help anyone you meet, knowing that this is right and good and will not be a deterrent to moving on to fulfill our purpose. Look eagerly to each task, knowing it will be transformed into something special just by the fact that it is the one I have chosen for you to do. The closer you get to the dreaded tasks, the more you will realize that you could not see them clearly from a distance, and that the fear was based on an illusion of how they appeared before the time to deal with them. Once you are right at them, you have My perspective and My help to dispose of them with ease and with confidence.

Cast off your timidity with knowledge. When you know where power is and how to use it, you no longer need to behave as if you are ignorant of it. Quit cleaning out the unwanted filth with your old human-struggle broom and start using the power vacuum of My guidance and My strength. You will accomplish more with less effort and do a better job”

Suggested Prayer: “Lord, I ask that You form my thoughts into flowing rivers of praise which will wash all filth of rebellion and irritability away, and leave every area of my life sparkling and clear and a tribute to You changing my life. Amen.”

Nourishment to Thrive

Prepare yourself for peak perfection.

Meditation Thought: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)

As a plant thrives and blooms in response to the nourishment provided, so you will thrive and bloom on the nourishment of the knowledge of your Lord. His strength will flow into you, being absorbed and used in whatever way is best for you to become at the peak of perfection in being a child of God.

Prepare yourself to absorb this knowledge, and drink it thirstily, knowing that this nourishment will change you for the better, both for your sake and for the sake of others to enjoy you more fully.

Ineptness to Effectiveness

To heed the advice of the word given to us by trusting in faith instead of relying on previous experience which has failed us is to change the pattern of our lives from…

Meditation Thought: ” ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.’ …For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken … and they left everything and followed him.” (Luke 5: 5,9,11)

The difference between an empty net and a full net is ‘going it alone’ or doing it with Christ, which is automatically doing it according to the will of the Father and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

To heed the advice of the word given to us by trusting in faith instead of relying on previous experience which has failed us is to change the pattern of our lives from:
emptiness to fullness
weakness to strength
fear to courage
ineptness to effectiveness
dullness to excitement
joy in receiving to joy in giving
from our accomplishments being measured mathematically to geometrically.

Building the Framework with the Carpenter

Your limitations are not My limitations.

Meditation Thought: “Where is your faith?” (Luke 8:25)

Your help comes from the Lord, the Lord who created heaven and earth. Peace be with you. Fear not. Your limitations are not My limitations. Believe in Me in you. Trust Me in you. Call upon Me in you. Act as if you feel Me in you.

This is the building of the framework of your temple where we shall commune together, providing the inspiration for the re-creation of your days. The routine, the dull, the mundane – all changed by the light of new knowledge which gives you strength, creative thought, effective actions. I am using you to build the Kingdom on earth. This is not an easy task. Do not give up. Trust me. Do what is needed this moment: it is by this expression of your faith that you move mountains and rebuke the winds and waves. Then when you are asked “where is your faith?” shall you reply: “My faith is in my Lord who dwells within me and without me, in all that is. His love enfolds me and His power protects me and no longer am I afraid for He never fails me nor forsakes me.”

Strength for the Battle

You cannot order the world to obey your command, but you can order your own will to obey God’s command.

Meditation Thought: “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Mark 14:38)

You must grow strong in the spirit so that the spirit can pour strength into the weak body. You have the perspective of history to enable your mind and your spirit to be strengthened by faith and by example. You know the reality of the resurrection.

To foreknow victory is to give strength for the battle. Focus your mind on the results you desire through the revelation of your spirit as to the best possible outcome. The outcome must encompass a furthering of love, harmony, peace and blessings for all concerned, for these are the promises – if one believes the word of God and acts in accordance with this belief.

You cannot order the world to obey your command, but you can order your own will to obey God’s command, and the results will please you far more than being abele to exert your own will upon everyone else; God’s love is greater, God’s mercy greater, God’s design greater than these qualities in yourself. Therefore if you attach your own desires to God’s desires, you assure yourself of glorious victory: not only do you sense satisfaction of your own life ordered and at peace, but you have been the instrument by which God has accomplished this in the lives of others whom you have touched.

It is true that “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” but it is also true that Jesus has released the power of the Holy Spirit within you to strengthen your own spirit to the point that your spirit overcomes the weakness of the flesh by moving the flesh in a new direction – causing the flesh to reach out in loving ministry rather that tightening within itself. The merging of your spirit with the Holy Spirit in obedience to His soft guidance enables the flesh to overcome self-consciousness, fear, awkwardness, selfishness and all negative aspects of live.

It’s not too Late to Learn

If you enter into the wonder of it, are willing to commit yourself to learning the nature of it, and cooperating with it, you will be changed inside and out.

Meditation Thought: “Is this not the reason you are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?” (Mark 12:24)

If you understand the meaning of a word it is far different than the technicality of reading a word. The scriptures must be understood if they are to be alive and active as a force in your life. They can be understood only through:

  • becoming familiar with the words
  • learning the meaning of the words
  • incorporating these words into your vocabulary, enriching it by their frequent use
  • seeking all the uses for the words; they have various meanings for various placement in the context of other words, other situations.

To a child the word ‘truth’ may connotate only ‘not telling a lie’, but to an adult, ‘truth’ can be many things, and cover a wide area. Learn to understand scriptures as an adult, not a child. Study.

The power of God is not hidden from anyone but frequently it is never discerned. The only way to recognize it is to look for it, believe the evidence of it, and accept it as fact. Once you recognize it, it becomes easier to perceive other manifestations of it.

If you enter into the wonder of it, are willing to commit yourself to learning the nature of it, and cooperating with it, you will be changed inside and out.

Move Which Mountain?

You cannot pray for the Father’s will if you do not know it – and you cannot know it if you do not seek it. You cannot seek it if you limit yourself to seeking your will only.

Meditation Thought:” whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Have faith in God.” (Mark 11:24,22)

God is: what? whom? How can you know? Because Jesus was able to prove God by the effects He made by His life – and for which He gave God the credit. No man has ever had such an effect on the world. How could He be totally outstanding from all others? He claims: “It is the Father who does the works.” “Believe in God.” “Believe in Me.” (Believe that what I say is true.) “He who believes in Me shall do the works that I do and greater works than these shall he do.” (See John 14)

You must focus on your destination before you can find the path there.

Will you indulge yourself – or glorify the Father?

Will you do your own thing – or the Father’s works and glorify Him?

If you know your Father, you believe Him, trust Him, obey Him, seek His counsel – you cannot move mountains. But your faith in your Father’s ability to do so can move mountains. You do not doubt in your heart because your heart is already consecrated to the Father, and you are doing His works: moving mountains.

You receive what you ask in prayer because you are praying for the Father’s will. You cannot pray for the Father’s will if you do not know it – and you cannot know it if you do not seek it. You cannot seek it if you limit yourself to seeking your will only.

When you know which mountain the Father desires to be moved, then your faith is the lever that starts the movement.

Humanly Possible vs. Divinely Possible

If we assume we already know what we need to – if our pride and our own will keep us turned to our own self instead of God, we limit what is possible in our lives to what is humanly possible.

Meditation Thought: “…all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27)

The only source of all knowledge is God. Only through coming to God with a willing attitude to learn from Him can we have all that we need to know revealed to us. If we assume we already know what we need to – if our pride and our own will keep us turned to our own self instead of God, we limit what is possible in our lives to what is humanly possible.

But, if in our faith in our Father – rather than ourselves, we seek to learn from Him, we release what is divinely possible in our lives. This difference places our lives on a new plane, a new dimension, living according to “new rules”.

If we do not adapt to behaving in ways appropriate to the new knowledge, we do not realize nor release the power of that knowledge. If we continue to think in old habitual ways, act as if we are only human, and the only controlling force in our lives, then we are not heeding the Word, learning the lesson, giving God permission to reveal, to guide, to influence the course of our lives. We remain chained to the limitations of the world, rather than availing ourselves of the miracles of the Kingdom.

A Climate of Faith

What is the element of life that is most exciting? Anticipation. It is satisfying to enjoy this moment – but it is exciting to create in the future the reality from the thought that is created this day.

Meditation Thought: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

“You have been given a ‘measure of faith’. Do you know its purpose? It is for using to grow more faith. It is for planting, for nourishing, for expecting a bountiful harvest of faith forthcoming.

Faith does not grow when it is ignored. Faith grows by someone tending it, recognizing that it exists and seeking to make it grow.

What is the element of life that is most exciting? Anticipation. It is satisfying to enjoy this moment – but it is exciting to create in the future the reality from the thought that is created this day.

You are able to exist in two planes at the same time, enjoying both and creating in both because you are both spirit and body. Your most effective powerful creations are the result of integrating the two areas into a two-dimensional expression on your part (height and width) and the addition of depth by the infusion of My Truth.

If you will work to define the pattern on the surface, I shall add the substance behind it to create a work beautiful from every viewpoint. Use the principles of good form taught to you in the Word, demonstrated by Jesus, whispered to you by the Spirit as well as confirmed by circumstances.

Think in terms of your work appearing as a figure in a painting, but with my divine power recreating it in sculpture which is a more complete expression that can be appreciated from any angle. Your work remains an expression of yourself, as only you can create, but it is made more beautiful by My expression added to it.

Your faith is the knowledge that the tiny seed of creative thought in your mind will grow even more beautiful and effective as you work to bring it into fruition. If you want to live the life of a creative artist, you must be saturated in faith. Nurture it, grow it, so you can thrive in the climate of faith.

Expand your faith that the work that you seek to product is unique – and useful and desirable – and that together we shall make it become complete and ‘real’; visible to many, and helpful to all who observe it.”
