Installed Filter

Is love in your heart? Love of whom? Yourself? Your God? Your family? Your enemies? All who hear you will know!

Meditation Thought: “But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart” (Matthew 15:18)

What is in your heart flows out through your mouth. Is love in your heart? Love of whom? Yourself? Your God? Your family? Your enemies? All who hear you will know! You cannot hide who you are – try as you might. But you can change who you are: you can change your heart – when you open your heart to the Spirit, you transform your heart you have a new one – an all-encompassing love.

What proceeds from your mouth is a river – a river that overflows onto all who hear you; does your river dirty and pollute them – or does it cleanse and refresh? It depends upon whether your river originates from a heart purified by obedience to your Creator’s will in the form of the Spirit filtering all un-God-like particles from your heart.

Every word you utter is either unfiltered or filtered, and the results of your words are directly related to your choice of using the Spirit-filter or not.

Suggested prayer: Come, Holy Spirit, dwell within my heart; be the filter that cleanses, purifies and glorifies the words proceeding from my heart. I would have a river pure and bright, bringing renewal to all it touches: help me, Father, to trust you to aid me in installing the holy Filter before the word flows from me – Lord Jesus, through Your loving sacrifice you made the installing of the Filter possible – thank you! Holy Spirit, by an act of my will, and by the determination of my mind, and the focusing of my emotions on the precepts of the kingdom, I reshape my heart to allow Your Filter to be installed and maintained in my heart. Amen.

Walk Miraculously

But the heart can accept it, for My Spirit is in the heart.

Meditation Thought: “And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray… And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea.” (Matthew 14:23, 25)

“ ‘Pray: walk – walk miraculously.’

This is a spiritual law. Learn it by mind, by emotions, by obedience. Apply it all of the time, everywhere. It is a universal law, unchanging. It is not written in the mind, but in the heart – the spirit. The mind cannot accept it, for self controls the mind. But the heart can accept it, for My Spirit is in the heart. By an act of your will, the directing of self, look first to your heart for My Spirit, who then directs your self to the proper place in your mind to accomplish My will in you and through you. This is the key to the act of using the spiritual law of “pray – walk miraculously.” It is a matter of the right sequence and right place for every thought, word and deed. Spirit, time, matter: all must be coordinated and harmonized to accomplish My will – which is what man terms ‘a miracle’.”

Go in Confidence

Stride boldly, confidently, buoyantly and joyfully.

Meditation Thought: “Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:31)

“I protect My loved ones! Go in confidence before men and angels, knowing that you have every form of strength and power needed to conquer every foe and every circumstance, when you are yielded to My Spirit and My Word.

Stride boldly, confidently, buoyantly and joyfully in this knowledge. Grow tall in the Spirit, able to see in better perspective, and able to act more vigorously. Fear not, fear not: I will sustain you, I will guide you, I will reorder whatever circumstances are necessary to do My work in you and for those for whom you pray.

And so, rely on Me, and I will give you peace. Rely on Me and I will give you the desires of your heart and fulfill the longings in your soul.”

The Character of Life

The life found by ‘self’ is a lost cause, but…

Meditation Thought: “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:39)

“He who finds his life: the life found by ‘self’ is a lost cause – the life found by self is ultimately unrewarding; it turns sour and displeasing. But to lose your ‘self’ life by yielding it up to Me is to change the character of your life into a fruitful, sweet maturity, through My provisions for it on the cross.

If you cling to self, which avoids the cross – both My cross and your cross of total yielding to the demands of the Kingdom – you avoid also the full, good, satisfying life which the Father intended for you.

But to embrace My cross, and your own cross, you provide the energy to melt and change those crosses into shining jewels to beautify yourself as you offer them at the same time as symbols to our Father, to Me, and to the Spirit of your total commitment of your spirit to our fellowship.”

A Little Grain of Salt

Take one step at a time, having determined which direction to take the step by first counseling with Me!

Meditation Thought: “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.” (Matthew 5:13)

A little salt will go a long way to change the character of a food: to make it taste better, and also to preserve it. Take care to retain your saltiness, so that wherever I use you – whether to add flavor to life, or to preserve life, you will accomplish this purpose.

I can use – and reuse you as salt, as long as you retain My character by your obedience to Me. Picture yourself as though being just a little grain of salt, being a part of the desirable flavoring of the world, and a part of the preservation of the world – the world as created by Me and obedient to Me. The part of the world that has changed loyalty from Me to Satan will not be preserved: in fact, your saltiness will be painful to that part, for it is a festered sore. But your saltiness will also be a means of bringing healing to parts of that world – those who will respond to your saltiness, recognizing that the pain caused by it is also the signal that their healing can take place by this same salt.

Pray, pray, pray – only by saturating yourself in Me and in the total awareness of fellow creatures’ needs can you be effective salt. Soak yourself in My Word, reach out – and in – to My Spirit, as you are afforded opportunities to perceive it – send your thoughts, your emotions – to reach into the minds and hearts of your fellow creatures, that the one part of the Body may be uplifted and strengthened by the other, and that new strength in the form of new believers may be added.

Take one step at a time, having determined which direction to take the step by first counseling with Me! Your steps shall lead to My glory and to your fulfillment.

Junk Food Dissatisfaction

My Spirit is the delicious ‘soft center’, which will satisfy your hunger and not only satisfy it, but give the ecstasy of it being a delight to your palate.

Meditation Thought: ““Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Matthew 5:6)

“Embrace righteousness! Though the outside appearance of it may appear to be hard, and not tasty – once you taste it, and become accustomed to it, the flavor becomes very pleasant, and in fact, righteousness has an even more delicious ‘soft center’ hidden until you really start to eat of the righteousness with enthusiasm! Not only shall your hunger be satisfied, but your taste buds shall be delighted too. Your hunger for all that is good in life – spiritual and physical – shall be satisfied, for your hunger truly is the wish for the in-filling of My Spirit. And My Spirit is contained in righteousness. My Spirit is the delicious ‘soft center’, which will satisfy your hunger and not only satisfy it, but give the ecstasy of it being a delight to your palate.

You choose the food you eat; you can indulge in ‘junk food’ of ego-building thoughts and deeds, of thoughts and deeds that take advantage of others – or you can feed upon the righteous, love-giving, self-sacrificing thoughts and deeds which serve as the containment of My Spirit. You may temporarily be deceived, or you may not resist the junk food at times – but if you are determined to pursue the healthy diet of My righteous food, you will partake of great quantities of it – enabling you to, as you grow in Christ, become expert at determining it by appearance, and also be able to develop a stronger will-power in resisting the ‘junk food’ and reaching for the righteous food.”

Willing

Willing to love instead of hate, love instead of rest, willing to love instead of claim honor and glory,

Meditation Thought: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3)

“Blessed are the humble spirits, for they do not overwhelm My Spirit, but yield to it – this is the kingdom of heaven, and this is their reward for yielding their spirit to Mine. The ‘kingdom of heaven’: a different kingdom from the world! The humble spirit with the possession of the wealth of the kingdom is richer by far than the richest person in the world. Only the riches of the kingdom provide lasting treasure, and treasure to bring joy now and forever too.

Hold fast to all that you possess in the kingdom by keeping your spirit humble – willing to listen to Me, willing to act upon My Word, willing to love instead of hate, love instead of rest, willing to love instead of claim honor and glory, Your riches here and in eternity shall be as grains of sand by the sea if your spirit is humble.”

Open the Package

Do not look for evidence of truth in the world, for you will be deceived by half-truths and camouflaged truths.

Meditation Thought: ““Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)

“The kingdom of heaven is ‘at hand’. This moment. Now! The kingdom is at hand now because ‘now’ is when you are made aware of the spiritual kingdom as a reality. Repent, and choose the kingdom now. If you push it aside, instead of entering in, you choose Satan – evil, rebellion to your Creator and My will – you choose the losing side.

Do not look for evidence of truth in the world, for you will be deceived by half-truths and camouflaged truths. You will think you hold treasure in your hands because it is so attractively wrapped – but the time will come when the wrappings will be removed, and the contents revealed.

The truths of the world are then revealed as snares, traps which you have chosen yourself as your gifts of life. You will be ensnared as you open your packages – caught in the despair of knowing you denied yourself the joys of fellowship with the One who created you in love and hope, and denied yourself the joy of eternal life with Him.

Look closely at the ‘packages’ of the moment – the choices. The Word describes the packages – both the wrappings and the true contents of the packages.

  • The wrapping appears:
  • Humbling
  • As a denial of pleasures others seek
  • As a restriction of your own will
  • As actions making you appear foolish

  • But the content is:
  • Joy in Service
  • The peace of righteousness
  • The exhilaration of God’s will
  • Transformed lives

And so, at each point of your life, you choose from the packages available to you. If you are ignorant of the fact that the wrappings are key-coded to the contents, you are likely to choose grief for yourself. But, if you heed the call of My Creative Spirit to your own spirit, then you can hear the instructions of how to ‘break the code’ and choose the fullness of life which is placed before you – the fullness which I long for you to choose, but which I will not force you to choose.”

In the Face of Adversity

Remember the goal of dealing with each situation in a way which will bring the Father’s approval.

Meditation Thought: “And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17)

“This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Think on this: look to this thought and goal – when trials come, when temptations come, when irritations come – remember the goal of dealing with each situation in a way which will bring the Father’s approval, as He gave His approval to His Son who obeyed and was righteous.

Prayer: Father, enable me to accomplish what I seek: the overcoming of pride, of laziness, of fear, of selfishness in the face of adversity, so that I may allow Your Spirit to direct me in thinking, saying and doing what Jesus Christ would do if placed where I am. In His Precious Name, Amen.

Fortify the Breached Wall

Seek and proclaim in love, in humble service, in empathetic understanding, with a discerning ear.

Meditation Thought: “And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.” (Ezekiel 22:30)

“I desire my people to turn to my face, listen to Me speak, and to heed My words. They cannot hear Me when they are tuned to their own interests. I seek their attention: I do not move unannounced. Time and time again I seek My own – century after century will some rebel, and some will heed. Seek to reconcile My people to Me: You know of My love. You know of My power; you experience My grace. Stand strong and firm in the strength of My might – fill the breach, and fill the place where My wrath would destroy, for I am righteous, and cannot allow sin to come to Me through the breach in the wall which divides sin and righteousness.

If I am to move among My people, I must have righteousness: Seek righteousness, proclaim righteousness – but seek and proclaim in love, in humble service, in empathetic understanding, with a discerning ear to both Me and Mine, with your tongue bound in the grace of My Spirit, and moved by loving concern. Let your mind be suffused with My Word (My promises and My plans) and your arms and hands open to receive all who seek shelter there.

Prepare your spirit, your mind, your emotions, your body, to be whoever or whatever I need of you at any given time. Walk in My Spirit, and you walk with Me. Walk with Me, and you walk in the joys and the glories of My Kingdom, superimposed over the physical realm. Be not afraid of the condition where you walk, as long as you walk in My Spirit, for then My protection, and My love, My grace, and My works are all released: changing ugly to lovely, sin to righteousness, shame to forgiven, hate to love.
