Influencers

How can we improve? Surely the first step is to recognize that we simply are not capable in ourselves of being so brilliant – so perfect – that we can make the proper decision. This is the point where we are willing to call “Help!”.

Meditation Thought: “He who influences the thought of his time influences the thought of all the times that follow.” (A quote from a book, An Apple a Day)

Why do we forget that every thought engenders an action (or a rejection of action)?

We are focused on ourselves, our physical or mental feelings at the moment, our mood, our preoccupation with thinking what we will do later – and we may miss the turn off of the road that we should follow.

How can we improve? Surely the first step is to recognize that we simply are not capable in ourselves of being so brilliant – so perfect – that we can make the proper decision. This is the point where we are willing to call “Help!”. And we know from where that help can come – Lord, you are the helper, the enabler, the guide, the protector, the lover. We cannot see you; we cannot feel you; we cannot hear your audible voice.

So, how do we meet together? Oh – to seek You in prayer, to listen to that soft, but real “voice” of thought in our minds, to be alert and aware of what situations surround us – and then to cope with them – through prayer, through the advice of the scriptures, through the knowledge that our loving Guide is competent, willing and available. You, of whom there is evidence through the ages.

Expeditions

Look up to Me when you stagger and fall – don’t look to the ground where you lie – but up to Me to catch My extended hand so that I can raise you up and encourage you along.

Meditation Thought: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (Matthew 5:6)

“The thirst has been created in you, that you might have the desire, the stamina to search for the water to quench it. And as the “Living Water” refreshes you, satisfies you, your delight will want to be expressed in helping others to recognize their thirst, and then to lead them to the place where they can quench that thirst.

Continue your expedition – in spite of all obstacles – for the goal is worth all costs. I will be your Guide, My strength will uphold you when you ask for my help – look up to Me when you stagger and fall – don’t look to the ground where you lie – but up to Me to catch My extended hand so that I can raise you up and encourage you along. The further you travel, the more you learn, and the more adept you become at traveling – I will show you the way, and I will also show the way to those companions you pick up along the highway. Come, let us satisfy your thirst.”

Glimpses of Heaven

Fret not that there are rocky paths and high mountains. I am here to help you move around them and over them. Do you understand that I traveled them first? I am an authentic, competent guide. Trust Me!

Meditation Thought: Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” Mark 14:38

“Watch. Be conscious of who you are and where you are and what you are doing. Be especially aware that you are not alone. I am with you. Fear not. Fret not. Regret not. Simply walk with Me, communing in harmony, moving constantly toward a more perfect relationship and a more perfect understanding of what is taking place and My guidance in that situation.

Remember our past walks together – many roads frightened you – but it was these roads which let us commune in a more vital and closer way. So it shall be again. This road is difficult for you to travel – but you are not travelling alone, nor are you travelling without a perfect destination for you and I to travel to and revel in at the end of the journey.

You are fascinated that you experience more than the physical qualities of life. You love “coincidences” that bring joy to you or to someone else. Do not forget your inspirational moments and the results of them. These moments are not the only moments you are to experience. Trials are a part of life on earth – but trials are also a way of moving closer to heaven – not simply heaven after death of the body, but glimpses of heaven while you are on earth.

TRUST: It is a pattern of life that the one who needs knowledge must seek it to find it. You are on the Way; fret not that there are rocky paths and high mountains. I am here to help you move around them and over them. Do you understand that I traveled them first? I am an authentic, competent guide. Trust Me!

Come My Beloved

“Come my beloved. Walk with Me, talk with me, and we shall do good in a hurting world.”

Meditation Thought: “Therefore, since we have been justified with faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.” Romans 5:1

By faith I am standing in grace. It does not matter that I do not feel at peace and comfortable and happy at this moment. It does matter that God is with me; God is in me, and God is guiding me.

Moreover, He is guiding circumstances concerning me. How do I know? Because He told me so – He said so through prophets, through the faithful who have followed Him, and through the Word and through circumstances.

I am not in the situation I prefer – but I am in the loving guiding ship of my Creator, my Guide and my Protector. I trust you, Lord, whoever or whatever You are. I may falter – often – but You know how to guide me to places you want me to be, to think and say and do what is pleasing you – and therefore is pleasing to me and to others involved with me.

“Come my beloved. Walk with Me, talk with me, and we shall do good in a hurting world.”
